ANDOVER, MA – Today, Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 4 endorsed Dan Koh in the Third District congressional race. Local 4 represents close to 400 workers in Worcester County and is the twenty-second union endorsement that Koh has received, more than any other candidate. Koh has also been endorsed by Boilermakers Local 29, Teamsters Union Local 170, Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 534, AFSCME Local 1730, Laborers Local 560, AFSCME Local 1703, NPMHU Local 301, the New England Regional Council of Carpenters, Laborers Local 39, Plumbers and Gasfitters Local 12, AFSCME Local 1705, Laborers Local 243, IUPAT DC 35, Pipefitters Local 537, Laborers Local 175, IBEW Local 96, Laborers Local 609, IUEC Local 4, IUOE Local 4, Laborers Local 88, and Wreckers Local 1421.
“I am proud to have Local 4’s endorsement,” said Koh. “Right now, the economy is rigged against the middle class. The recent Republican tax giveaway to big corporations will just make income inequality worse. We need to build an economy that works for everyone, and that starts with standing up for unions.”
“We are excited to support Dan,” said Tim Ferguson, Business Manager of Local 4. “Dan gets it. He has real experience helping working families, and he is dedicated to protecting workers’ rights. Our members know that Dan will fight for them in Congress.”
