Dan is a proud resident of Andover and grew up in the town that he loves, the one where his family has lived for more than a half century and where his parents were married in 1981 at St. Augustine’s Church.
A descendant of Korean and Lebanese immigrants, Dan Koh is committed to making Andover the best town in the country. He grew up in Andover with his parents, his brother Steven, and his sister Katie. Most recently, Dan was a candidate for Congress, where he came within 0.1% of victory. Immediately prior, Dan served as Chief of Staff to Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, where he managed 18,000 employees and a $3 billion budget during one of the most prosperous four-year stretches in Boston’s history. Previously, Dan served as Chief of Staff at the Huffington Post. He also served as an advisor to Boston Mayor Tom Menino and as an intern for Senator Ted Kennedy.
Dan wants to use his experiences in the public and private sector to work collaboratively with the citizens in Andover to ensure the town thrives for generations to come.
Dan holds a B.A. from Harvard College and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School, where he met his wife Amy. Dan and Amy are both avid runners: they have run 31 marathons together — and Dan just tries to keep up!
